Fanshawe TV Mission Statement
Fanshawe TV and fanshawetv.ca strive to accurately reflect the many viewpoints of the college community through its programming while continuing to develop a student-run television station. Fanshawe TV prides itself on the innovation, talent, and commitment reflective of industry standards through an educational, positive, and entertaining medium.
There are three departments within this group: Live-Event Production, Program Production, & Creative Services. These individuals work to create original content for Fanshawe TV. Whether it’s a live event, commercial, streeter or scripted segment, production services organizes, conceptualizes, shoots and edits the content for the channel.
The programming department curates the programs each week for Fanshawe TV.
The traffic department is responsible for ensuring programming content flows well and creates a perfectly timed broadcast log that includes proper commercials, sponsorship information and billboards.
Operations works to get all our content to air, and to make sure all technical difficulties are taken care of in the process.
Sponsorship reaches out to potential advertisers and is responsible for the sale of all commercial advertisement space on Fanshawe TV. Fanshawe TV offers 15 and 30 seconds spots during the prime time hours of 12:00PM-4:00PM, with repeat exposure throughout the day. With a reach of 15,000 people daily and easy access to the profitable student demographic, Fanshawe TV is the right choice for many growing businesses in the London area. Sponsorship also supervises the production of commercials or any sort of advertising.
Marketing develops promotion campaigns to raise public awareness of Fanshawe TV and enhances the viewing opportunities of our target audience. The team provides support and coordination across multiple functions and projects, including an array of activities such as Publicity, Event Promotion, On Air and Online Promotion, Public Relations and Brand Management.
Community Relations ensures all activities happening school wide and events occurring around London get published through the school television network through billboards and live updates.
Online media works to connect with FTV viewers through various online platforms and keep them up to date with programming, live events, and contests.
